On the occasion of Vietnam War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), as part of the 2026 Summer Company Trip to Quang Binh, employees of Ngo Hoang Company Limited visited Vung Chua – Yen Island to offer incense and pay tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap.
This was a special stop on the group’s 4-day, 3-night journey, carrying profound historical significance and a meaningful spirit of remembrance and gratitude. More than simply an experiential trip, this year’s Company Trip also provided an opportunity for members to reconnect with historical values and express their gratitude to generations who devoted their lives to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Looking Toward July 27 – Honoring Those Who Devoted Their Lives to the Fatherland
July 27 every year is a solemn occasion for the Vietnamese people to remember and pay tribute to Heroic Martyrs, War Invalids, Sick and Wounded Soldiers, and all those who sacrificed and devoted themselves to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Amid the solemn atmosphere of July, the visit to Vung Chua – Yen Island became a particularly meaningful activity for the Ngo Hoang team. At the resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the delegation took time to offer incense, commemorate, and express their deepest respect for the General of the Vietnam People’s Army.
Standing amidst the peaceful surroundings of Vung Chua and facing the resting place of the General, each member had a moment to pause during the journey, reflect on history, and gain a deeper appreciation of the values of peace and independence that previous generations devoted their entire lives to preserving.
Vung Chua – A Place of Remembrance and Gratitude
Vung Chua – Yen Island is not only impressive for the majestic and open beauty of its mountains and sea, but is also a place of special spiritual significance to many Vietnamese people.
For Ngo Hoang, the visit was far more than a sightseeing activity. It was a moment of reflection for each member to express respect and gratitude to General Vo Nguyen Giap – a figure who made significant contributions to the history of the Vietnamese nation.
The incense-offering and commemorative activities also provided members, particularly younger generations, with an opportunity to learn about and remember important historical values, thereby fostering a greater appreciation for peace and a stronger sense of responsibility toward the community and society.

Choosing Vung Chua – Yen Island as one of the destinations of the 2026 Summer Company Trip, particularly during July – a month of remembrance and gratitude – carried a meaningful message rooted in the Vietnamese tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source.” It was also an opportunity for the Ngo Hoang team to reflect together on the contributions of previous generations and to develop a deeper appreciation for the values that we are privileged to inherit today.
